We recognise the uncertainty that coronavirus COVID-19 is causing globally, so we want to take a moment to let you know what we’re doing to keep you safe under the current traffic light system, while still providing you exceptional dental care.
Under the red traffic light setting, all of our practices across New Zealand are open.
There will be some additional safety measures in place for high-risk patients (according to NZ dental council guidelines) to ensure everyone’s safety. We will be completing risk assessments on all patients which will determine any additional safety measures and personal protective equipment (PPE) required by our team. Give us a call to talk through your options and how we can still see your smile safely.
Please note there will an additional PPE cost of $38 for high-risk patients (risk categories are defined by The Dental Council Of New Zealand guidelines).
For more details on the traffic light system and what is involved please visit the Ministry of Health website.
Please remember, when arriving at your appointment you must wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth correctly and scan in using the QR Code in the NZ COVID Tracer App, as per Government guidelines. For advice on using a mask correctly see here.
Dentistry may be changing, but one thing that won’t is our commitment to the health and safety of our patients and our teams. We have always maintained a high level of best-practice safety protocols, even before COVID-19.
We will continue to screen patients, schedule appointments appropriately, maintain a contact register for contact tracing, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet the Infection Control & Prevention Standards, as guided by the Dental Council of New Zealand (DCNZ). As your good health guardians, we’ve got you covered.
To help keep everyone safe, we will be in touch to ask you a series of screening questions before your appointment. Please consider the questions below:
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, we would like to discuss your options with you.
We may also call you to confirm your answers to these questions again, just prior to your appointment, in case anything has changed for you. We do appreciate your support and understanding as we unite with you against COVID-19.
